As WIRES volunteers head into another frantic summer season helping injured, orphaned and displaced wildlife there will be considerable relief on their precious time and resources provided by our new WIRES Wildlife Rescue Vans.
Throughout the last summer season WIRES struggled to respond in what we would consider an appropriate time frame to ensure the best results for injured wildlife. This occurred despite the best efforts of our dedicated volunteers. Many if not most WIRES volunteers have full or part-time work and this means we have limited access to rescuers during normal business hours.
In current times it is difficult for our volunteers, using their own vehicles, time and money to handle the volume of rescue requests we now receive. We believe the introduction of our Rescue Vans to the Sydney area is a major step forward.
If you would like to help us keep our vans on the road, please donate now. Using the secure online donation facility at ourcommunity. |
